Wayne joins Ascolta with 18 years of business, technology and leadership experience in product development, professional services and business optimization in commercial and government contracting, both CONUS and OCONUS. He is skilled at building and directing high performance teams, lowering expenditures and focusing business growth through the orchestration of technology and processes. He brings a proven track record in GEOINT, SSA, C4ISR, cloud transition support and hybrid cloud solutions, data analytics, social media monitoring and analysis, machine learning and advanced R&D in public, private and start-up environments. Wayne’s experience across all levels of the corporate and development life cycle provides a valuable perspective on organizational and technical opportunities. Wayne attended both the United States Air Force Academy and the University of Virginia. He has a B.S. in Engineering Science with a concentration in Systems Engineering and thesis on Information Warfare: Public Policy & Security.
Before joining Ascolta, Ms. Freeman was the Department of Defense (DoD) Deputy, CIO for Business Process and Systems Review. Prior to her CIO assignment she served in the Executive Office of the Secretary of Defense where she was a member of the Defense Efficiencies Task Force (EFT) under Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. She also served the Department under Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and was appointed Director of Operations for the Secretary’s Budget Outreach Group, which acted as a Liaison from the DoD to the Congressional Joint Committee on Sequestration. Ms. Freeman’s industry experience is highlighted by her tenure at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she held concurrent positions as Chief of Staff for the Americas Utility Industry Practice and Senior Director for Marketing and Business Development for the same practice. As a U.S. Air Force active duty officer, her final assignment was at the Pentagon where she served as Media Relations Strategist and Public Affairs Advisor to USAF Deputy, Chief of Staff for Operations and the Air Force General Counsel during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Rick’s primary focus is customer delivery in both the federal and commercial markets and in ensuring Ascolta’s data, systems and procedures are secure. Rick previously served eleven years in the office of the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer, both in uniform as a Marine Corps officer and as a Lead Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton. He is recognized for his cybersecurity, operational, strategic and policy experience in supporting the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Cybersecurity and his process and systems analysis experience in supporting the Deputy Chief Information Officer for Business Process and Systems Review. Prior to serving in the DoD CIO, he served as an active duty combat arms officer, serving in command and operations billets from the Platoon to Division and Combined Joint Task Force level.
